Country Maid Ice Cream – a Richfield Icon

Serving locally-made ice cream since 1948

Richfield Country Maid employees and residents, Don, Rose Marie, and Steve Torma, purchased the business from its original owner, Frank Holeski, who started the business in 1948.

Now, 78 years later, ownership has transferred to a new trio of employees and managers as of April 1, 2026 (no joke!): Liz Presley, Anthony Presley, and Lucas King.

The new owners, Country Maid employees since they were 15 years old, now in their early 20’s, will retain the flavors, ingredients, and ice-cream-making processes: “if it’s not broken, why fix it?”

Inspiring an historic restoration project: Country Maid Ice Cream outings

Rick Hudak’s quest for a “cool car” to bring  his first grandchild to Country Maid for summer ice cream outings led him to purchase and restore the now-renowned 1912 Cadillac.

It became a nationally-recognized, award-winning, celebrated automobile restoration in multiple car shows – all for the love of a simple desire: to delight a grandchild with a fun ride and a home-grown ice-cream cone.

Today, Hudak’s restored 1921 Lincoln also serves as a “cool car” to bring his family to enjoy ice cream outings at Country Maid.
